Introduction

The core function of the SC12FPIA is to convert 10/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet signals from twisted-pair copper cable to 100Base-FX fiber optic cable. Its dual-capability design allows it to not only transmit data but to simultaneously inject Power over Ethernet (PoE) down the same copper cable. This enables the operation of remote devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones without requiring a separate, local power source. The converter is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, ensuring interoperability and safe power delivery to connected equipment.

Designed for maximum deployment flexibility, the SC12FPIA can extend network distances from 2km using multi-mode fiber up to 120km with single-mode fiber, depending on the model. Its industrial-grade construction supports both DIN-rail and wall-mount installation, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial control cabinets and field applications. Furthermore, its full compatibility with long packets (jumbo frames) ensures seamless integration and high performance in modern network infrastructures.
