The The IES 106-2F Y Series is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch engineered to provide reliable network connectivity in demanding operational environments. Its primary purpose is to facilitate seamless, plug-and-play communication between industrial devices in settings such as factory automation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and remote utility monitoring, where standard commercial equipment would fail.

It integrates both copper (10/100Base-Tx) and fiber optic (100Base-Fx) ports to accommodate diverse network infrastructures. This versatility is housed within a robust IP40 aluminum enclosure and supported by a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C.
