Introduction
The SC09FER Series Media Converter Rack is a high-density, cost-effective infrastructure solution designed to meet the demands of modern equipment rooms. Its primary function is to facilitate the long-distance transmission of Ethernet networks by centrally housing and powering multiple media converters within a compact 2U chassis. This streamlined approach simplifies network architecture, reduces clutter, and provides a scalable foundation for extending network connectivity over fiber optic cabling.
The core value of the SC09FER lies in its exceptional versatility and reliability. The chassis is engineered to accommodate different types of media converters, supporting either 16 media converter PCBs or 14 "Slide In" media converter modules, allowing network administrators to tailor deployments to specific requirements. To ensure maximum uptime for critical network links, the rack can be configured with dual power supplies. This redundancy enables a hot backup mode with automatic switchover in the event of a power supply failure, making the SC09FER XX an essential and dependable component for any robust network deployment
