Introduction

The GW IoT EM is an industrial gateway engineered specifically to solve these challenges. It serves as a rugged and reliable bridge connecting multiple Modbus slave devices in the field to a central, web-based application server. By leveraging both Ethernet WAN and WiFi for network connectivity, the GW IoT EM provides a flexible and powerful solution for remote data acquisition and monitoring. It consolidates data from various sensors, meters, and controllers, transmitting it securely to a public cloud or a private server. Configuration and diagnostics are simplified through an integrated internal web server, accessible via a standard browser.

Functioning as a Modbus master, the gateway communicates with field devices over a factory-settable RS232 or RS485 serial interface. The unit is designed for simple integration into industrial control panels, featuring a compact form factor and operating on a wide-range 9V-30V DC power supply.
